My Top Ten Sweet Treats Under 10 Syns

My Top Ten Sweet Treats Under 10 Syns

1. Hot Chocolate

Options and Cadbury's Highlights do a great range of low syn hot chocolate. Both brands tend to be around the 40 calorie mark for 11g which means they are on average around 2 Syns each! If you are feeling extra indulgent you can always add 10 mini marshmallows for an extra 1 syn.

2. Cadbury's Crunchie

For a 32g (multipack bar) these treats are 7,5 Syns. Or you can go a little larger for a 40g (single bar) which are 9,5 Syns.

3. Meringue nests

The Syns per meringue nest varies per brand. On average they are 2,5 Syns each. They are great topped with some fresh strawberries and fat free vanilla yoghurt.

4. Alpen Light Bars

These bars are great when you are craving something sweet but don't have many Syns left. The Syns value varies per flavour. My favourite ones are the Jaffa cake ( Yes they actually taste like jaffa cakes!) Which are only 70 calories each (3,5 Syns) And the chocolate and fudge ones which are also only 3,5 Syns each. And the great news is if you haven't had your extra healthy B choice of the day you can have two of these.

5. Curly Wurly

Sometimes fruit and Alpen Light bars don't quite settle your craving for something sweet and you need that fix. Curly wurly's are my go to bar. They are 6 Syns for a 26g bar. If you put them in the freezer for a little while beforehand they take a little longer to eat so you can enjoy them for longer.

6. Werther's Original

I don't know if it's just me but I crave butter quite a bit. But seen as normal butter is 2 syns per level tsp you'll need a least three tsp to cover a slice of toast which will quickly add up to a whopping 6 syns! Hence why I'll have Werther's original instead. They are 1 Syn for the normal ones and only 0,5 Syn for sugar free version.

7. Maltesers

These are 5 syns for a 19,5g bag ( or 9,5 syns for a 37g bag ) I like these because they can take me a while to eat and are great with a cup of tea in the evening!

8. Hartley's ready to eat jelly

Hartley's ready to eat jelly. In the standard 125g pot there's 4,5 Syns. The ones with fruit pieces 175g pot there is 6 Syns and the 175g pot with no added sugar is only 0,5 Syns. If you fancy some fruit with your jelly I'd stay away from the fruit pieces pots and just add your own fresh fruit to the standard or no added sugar pots. This way it will save you at least a couple of Syns.

9. Biscuits/Cookies under 3 Syns

Custard creams - 3 Syns each
Maryland chocolate chip cookies - 3 Syns each
Jaffa cakes - 2,5 Syns each
Ginger nuts/snaps - 2,5 Syns each
Oreo cream sandwich ( original ) - 2,5 Syns each
Pink wafers - 2 Syns each
Nice biscuits - 2 Syns each
Chocolate fingers - 1,5 Syns each

10. Skittles

An 18g bag of Skittles are 3,5 Syns (all varieties). These I find are great little treats for when you are out and about during the day and need something sweet to keep you going.

What treats keep you going?
